GOA GOVERNMENT IS CONTEMPLATING TO IMPOSE SECTION 144 AHEAD OF THE CITIZENS MARCH
Demanding Manohar Parrikar, to step down from the post of Chief minister, due to his illness several Activist, NGO’s and political fronts in opposition on Monday announced to march towards Parrikar’s private residence at Taleigao on 20th November.
Addressing media persons in Panjim, Activist Aires Rodrigues said that the citizens will march from NIO Circle at Donapula to Parrikar’s residence at 4 PM on 20th March. Rodrigues further criticised the Goa Governor Dr. Mridula Sinha for not reviewing the administrative affairs in the state.
Earlier last week, RTI activist Rajan Ghate, commenced his fast till death demanding the resignation of ailing Chief Minister at the Azad Maidan in Panjim.
Several political fronts including Indian national congress, Goa Suraksha Manch, Aam Aadmi Party have extended support to Ghate’s protest.
