Deputy Speaker of the state legislative assembly, Michael Lobo informed media that Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will address a press conference in next 2 to 3 days to clarify its stand on resumption of mining activity in Goa.

Lobo’s comment comes, a day after “Indian Express”  reported that Union Law Ministry has said that the central government should decline Goa’s request for an amendment to the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act to resume mining activity in the state.

Lobo said that, Chief Minister who also holds that charge of the mines ministry was only the competent authority, to tell the people Goa the exact in regards with resumption of mining activity & people of cannot be kept in dark for prolong period.
