CIVIL SOCIETY, SERVES 48 HOUR ULTIMATUM TO STAGE STATE-WIDE PROTEST IF GOA CM PARRIKAR HAD DECLINED TO MEET THEM

Several members of the civil society and political front on Tuesday, Marched towards the Goa Chief minister Manohar Parrikar’s residence at Taleigao. Congress MLA’s including Reginald Lourenco, Digambar Kamat, Jenifer Monserrat, Tony Fernandes were present at March-pass organized by the civil society. Leaders from NCP, GSM and Shiv sena marked rally. Stating that the CM was unable deliver governance to people of Goa, Citizens had staged the protest rally demanding Parrikar’s resignation.

Heavy police force, administrated by North Goa Superintendent Chandan Choudhary blocked the protest rally couple of yards, before approaching Parrikar’s residence. After chief minister declined to meet the civil society, it served a 48 hour ultimatum to stage state-wide protest if Parrikar had declined to meet them.
