Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party on Monday informed the High court in Goa, that Chief minister Manohar Parrikar and BJP MLA’s Francisco D’souza & Pandurang Madkaikar were terminally ill.
In an writ petition filed by MGP, on Monday at the high court in Goa, challenging switching over of elected representatives from one political party to another, it stated :
“After the Government formation, the Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar has remained terminally ill and was hospitalized, either abroad, in New Delhi as well as in Goa Medical College. Two other Ministers namely, Shri Francisco D’Souza and Shri Pandurang Madkaikar have also remained terminally ill and hospitalized for almost a year. Another Member of the Legislative Assembly Shri Jose Luis Carlos Almeida, representing Vasco-da-Gama Constituency from Bharatiya Janata Party also continued to be ill. With the sickness of the aforesaid elected Representatives, the Political situation in Goa continued to be fluid”.
