Several people across walk-of-life remained stranded in Goa after private bus operators, Taxi operators stayed off roads on Wednesday on the second day of the 48-hour nationwide trade strike called against the union governments alleged anti-worker policies.
No incidents of violence were reported. Industries, Educational Institutes, PSU’s, Government office were affected due to the bandh. The state government-operated Kadamba Transport Corporation roped in additional buses in Goa. Ferry services initially remained suspended in morning. Tourists at Airport and Railway stations were also affected due to the strike.
Speaking to The Goajunction, AITUC leaders Suhas Naik said that people voluntarily participated at strike, opposing union govt’s policies.
