Stating that the Goa Revune Department in recent past had hiked fees to RS. 50 per page, for procuring documents under the RTI act, activist Trajano Demello on Friday said that he petitioned the High court pleading to set a side the said notification.
Addressing media persons in Panjim, Demello said that the state govt, had hiked the fees by amanding the land revune code of Goa, to suppress information under the RTI act pertaining to land records in the state.
Congress spokes person and counsel in the petition, Adv. Rohit Bras Dsa said that he would urge the leader of opposition to take up the issue at the forthcoming assembly session.
Hearing into the land revune code has been slatted for 4th February.
