The Goa Tourism Ministry on Friday announced to host the Annual Shimo Parade from 21st March. Addressing media persons in Panjim, Tourism Minister Manohar Azgaonkar said that the govt will host the parade for 15 days this year, which would commence from Antruz Mahal in Ponda.
He said that the state govt will spent RS. 2 crore for host the cultural parade’s across 14 towns in Goa. The tourism ministry has also appointed an event management company to execute the annual parade.
Meanwhile, leader of opposition Chandrakant Kavalekar has cautioned the tourism Dept that it will not allow politicians to sabotage appointment of Shigmo organising committee in Qupem.
