The Forward Democratic Labour party (FDLP) and a Political activist Trajano Demello on Monday filed two separate complaints against the state government for swearing-in chief minister and Dy. CM during the enforcement of model code of conduct. Speaking to The Goajunction, the state president of the FDLP, Sadanand Vaingankar said that it was an contempt by the state government to swear-in the Chief minister and Dy. CM’s during the enforcement of Model code. Vaingankar said that the, he had urged the Election commission of India, to ban political parties including BJP, MGP and Goa Forward from contesting the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and Bye polls from Goa.
The office of the chief electoral officer asserted media that it had received 2 complaints pertaining to appointment of Dy. CM’s and swearing-in of new CM. Speaking to India Today, Additional Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Narayan Sawant said that it had referred the compliant to “General Administration Department” of the Goa Government for its say on the compliant.
