DAIRY FARMERS POURS 100’S OF LITRE’S OF MILK ON ROAD TO PROTEST AGAINST SAMUL PLANT IN GOA

Several Bicholim – Sal dairy farmers on Monday staged a protest demonstration in Porvorim near Goa legislative complex after, Surat District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd popularly known as SUMUL Dairy rejected 4000 litres of milk at its milk processing plant in Goa.

 

To mark a protest against Samul – Dairy, farmers poured 100’s of litres of milk on road opposite Porvoirm police station.  Addressing media on the occasion, farmers said that the microbiologist from conducted some exceptional test on our milk and thereafter rejected it finding some faults.

 

Farmers expressing their woes said that,  “We wanted to present this rejected milk by SAMUL to all MLA’s but police officials blocked us entering assembly.  We were forced to pour the milk on road to mark the protest. Neither our MLA nor animal husbandry minister is here to listen on woes”.

 

Protesting farmer warned to create “Law & Order” situation in the state, if there problems are not resolved.
