The Goa Chief Minister Pramod sawant on Monday told the state legislative assembly that the state govt will amend “Hire & Fire policy” adopted by the private sector’s to provide job security to Goan.
Responding to Luizinho Faleiro, about engineering graduates applying for peon, Aval Kartun and Mamletdar jobs, CM Sawant said that in a bid to curb fear and apprehension amongst the Goan youth that jobs in private sectors were not secured, the state govt will amend Hire & fire policy adopted by the private sector in Goa.
He said that, the government will not be able to provide 100% Goans in the public sector. Sawant urged graduate students to opt for self employment or compete in private sectors jobs. He also told the state assembly that after implementation of 7th pay scale, goan youth were giving priority to govt jobs rather private employments.
