Goa Chief Minister & Home Minister, Pramod Sawant on Tuesday told the state legislative assembly that the government will not tolerate drugs consumption in Goa. Responding to questions tabled by Francisco Silvera, at the 2nd day of monsoon assembly session, Dr. Sawant told assembly that within next 6 months forensic lab in Verna will be upgraded for detection of narcotic’s consumed by users in the state.
Sawant also said that Parents need to be sensitive towards drug menace. He further said that citizens should solely not hold Government and police department accountable for drug abuse in the state.
The home minister, further asserted the august house that there were no complaints of drug sale within college premises in the state. He said that Under NDPS act over 2900 cases have been registered by police officials.
