NO DOCTORS TO CONDUCT SUPER-SPECIALTY OPERATIONS IN SUB DISTRICT HOSPITALS : HEALTH MINISTER, GOA

The Goa Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane informed the state assembly that, due to shortage and unavailability of doctors, the state govt was unable of carrying out super specialty operations in district and sub district hospitals across the state.

Responding Congress MLA Ravi Naik, Rane told the house that the govt will advertise vacancies in the health sector within 8 to 10 days.

Ravi expressed at the assembly that several serious patients die, while they are shifted from Ponda Sub District hospital to GMC.

Rane responding to supplementary questions, informed the assembly that GEL had been directed to take all MLA’s into confidence while renewing DDSSY cards. He further said that, the health ministry will appoint a nodal officer in South Goa to resolve teething problems in DDSSY scheme. Rane also maintained that a TPA representative will deployed in all the DDSSY empanelled hospitals receptions, to facilitate patients.
