The Goa Vigilance Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant on Friday, informed the state legislative assembly that will conduct inquiry into the finical sanctions done by govt institutions to various agencies since 1998.
Intervening, into congress MLA Luizinho Faleiro’s question to Urban development minister Milind Naik, Sawant said that the state govt was transparent to resolve garbage woes from Sansodo garbage dumping site.
He further said that, the govt in recent past had paid Rs. 4.23 crores to Fomento Green against Sansodo garbage handling work.
Inquiry is initiated by Goa CM after, oppositions MLA attempted to grills govt over money disbursement to private agencies by govt.
The chief earlier this week, had assured the state assembly that it would pay outstanding bills to Fomento Green after a proper audit.
