The Goa Arts and Culture minister, Govind Gaude on Monday informed the state legislative assembly that its department was drafting “Goa Cultural Policy” to preserve cultural identity of the state. Responding to demands at the assembly, Gaude told the assembly, that it was contemplating to give bonus marks for Schools students for participating in cultural activates online with sport Marks. He however maintained, that students would be only entitled to seek benefits from one (Sports or Cultural) extracurricular activity. He said that the state cabinet will give its consent of the same, by next assembly session.
Gaude said that “Ghumat” will be declared as Heritage Instrument of the state within fortnight. He also told the assembly that documentation of folk art & dance in audio visual format will done by the art & culture dept to preserve identity of Goa.
