Several members of the civil society and Green Activist on saturday grilled Goa Environment minister Nilesh Cabral and its employees in Panjim, as they were unable to properly clarify citizens queries pertaining to draft of Coastal Zone Management Plan ( CZMP ).
The civil society, after watching the CZMP presentation raised several technical objections to public consultation procedures. The state govt officials were not able to convince people raising objections.
Several BJP workers including – Proff. Ramrao Wagh, also raised objection to public consultation as there were no proper plans with the govt officials to convince people.
Heated discussion was held between eminent Green Activist Kashinath Shetye and Cabral. After, discussion Shetye expressed that citizens will approach the judicial forums if govt hastily provides public consultation inputs to National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management.
