Education and higher education departments would review all vocational courses so that youth seeking education, could get proper employment opportunities after getting passed out from vocational trades, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant told the state legislative assembly on Monday.
Responding to BJP MLA Pravin Zantey, Sawant said that the govt would close certain courses, where students do not have vertical mobility, while new courses would be introduced taking industries on-board, so that goan youth gets proper employment opportunities.
He also said that, govt will setup new skilled development university, to offer bachelor degrees courses in vocational trades. Sawant said that the education dept will conduct aptitude tests class 10th students, so that they could be streamlined properly for seeking higher education.
He also maintained that the school students would be provided career counselling.
