Stating that the E – Auctioning of dumps would not create employment for mining dependents in Goa, the mining people’s front leader Puti Gaonkar on Monday informed media persons that it had decided to hold mining dependents meeting in Usgao on 27th August to decide upon our further course of action.
Gaonkar said that the state govt has e-auctioned dumps, which was less than 52 grade and needed to be processed and blended before exporting from India.
He said that Local traders are not in capacity to export such ore and the faith of e-auction would be known on 22nd August.
Gaonkar also maintained that the mining front had sought appointment from Home minister Amit Shah and Goa CM Pramod Sawant to discuss about the faith of resumption of mining activity in Goa. He however expressed that neither office of Shah nor Sawant had yet given us appointment.
