The Goa PWD minister, Deepak Pauskar after conducting detailed inspection of the emergency works carried at Khandepar water pipelines informed media persons that he was not aware, who would bear the cost of work carried out at Khandepar water pipe lines. He said that there were state and central agencies involved in executing the works.
Although the pipe line belongs to state PWD, works pertaining to Highway expansion and shifting of pipe lines were supposed to be carried out by National highway authority, Pausekar said. He maintained that currently, emergency maintenance work was carried out by MVR, Dilip Buildcon and PWD officials. He said that PWD ministry sit with Goa Chief minister Pramod Sawant and settle the issue as soon as possible.
Pauskar said that by today mid night, fabrication of pipes would be completed and water would be released by 21st August through 900 mm dia pipe line.
Meanwhile the Goa congress party president – Giresh Chodankar slammed the state govt for mis-administrating Khandepar Pipe line work. Chodankar said that the Ministers should resign if they could not address people woes in Tiswadi and Ponda Taluka.
