GOA KARNATAKA MADHAI ROW: CONGRESS SLAMS MOEF MINISTER JAVADEKAR.  CM SAWANT SAYS NO INJUSTICE WOULD BE DONE TO GOA FROM THE CENTER

The Congress party in Goa on Tuesday, slammed union MOEF minister Prakash Javadekar for appointing a committee to resolve Madhai Karnataka water diversion issue.

 

Addressing media persons in Panjim, leader of opposition Digambar Kamat said that since MOEF has nether withdrawn nor kept its permissions on abeyance,  it was an injustice to Goa.

 

Kamat further condemned formation of MOEF’s Madhai committee and said that Javdekar should abstain from attending IFFI inauguration.

 

The Goa Chief minister Pramod Sawant speaking to media persons at the sidelines of function in Panjim on Tuesday said that “No injustice would be done to Goa from the center, while handling Goa – Maharashtra Madhai water diversion issue”.  Sawant said that “within a short span of time, the state will get want it requires”.
