Ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the 50th edition of International Film Festival India, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar held a crucial meeting with green activist and political fronts in Panjim on wednesday. Javadekar has sought 15 days to resolve issue. However, he declined to immediately withdraw the permissions given to water diversions near Kalsa – Banduri dam.
The union minister meets activist, as state intelligence organisation had apprehended a protest rally against MOEF, for in-principally permitting river Madhai water diversion in Karnataka. The Goa Police department has also issued notices to the state congress president and its members.
