The state government will intervene into data of “Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy” which indicated that unemployment in Goa hit an all time high of 34.5%, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant told reporters at the sidelines of inauguration of Manohar Parrikar memorial hall at Sanjay School in Porvorim. He said that the employment exchange would analyse the data and attempt the revive unemployment ratio in the state.
Commenting on souring unemployment ratio, Goa Industries Minister Vishwajeet Rane said that aftermath mining suspension activity in the state, several people in Goa had lost their Jobs. He said that it was a need of an hour to restart the mining activity in Goa, so that unemployment ratio in Goa decreases. Rane also maintained that the government will also attempt to get new industries in the state for Goans to get proper employment opportunities.
