Marking Goa Liberation Day celebrations, several freedom fighters along with children staged protest demonstration against the state government at Azad Maidan in Panjim. Freedom fighters claimed that, even 58 years after Goa’s liberation more than 250 offspring’s were not provide government regular jobs by the government.
Meanwhile, Goa CM Pramod Sawant addressing liberation day Parade said that the government will provide jobs to all pending freedom fighters children. He said that, freedom fighters need not protest against the govt.
The supreme court of India will hear into state governments mining review petition on 8th January, chief minister Pramod Sawant told reports at sidelines on Goa Liberation Day celebrations.
He said that the resumption of mining activity in the state was delaying because of SC hearings.
