GOENKARPONN CRISES: GOA FORWARD GETS PARANOID WHEN ASKED ABOUT INTRODUCING POGO BILL AT ASSEMBLY

The Goa Forward Party, Chief Vijay Sardesai on Saturday jibes media person at a press conference in Panjim for asking questions pertaining Person of Goa Origin (POGO) Bill.  Sardesai, responding to The Goajunction said “ I am not here to be cross examined like I am in court. If you want to take down what I am saying, take it down – otherwise you can go!”.

In-principally, declining to introduce private members bill with respect to POGO at the forthcoming assembly session Sardesai said that “I agree, that person of goan origin has to get justice….. But form of appeal introduced now, has to also respect federal policies of the country”.

Several youth across Goa, are petitioning the state government to introduce and pass the POGO bills at the state assembly. The bill, aims to protect identity of state and  provide quality employment, land, natural resources to Goan origin people amid intensive influx of migrant in Goa.

 

 

Goa Forward Party announced to move an adjournment motion on Goa – Karnataka Mahadai water diversion issue at the one-day Assembly session summonsed on 7th January to ratify the Constitutional Amendment Bill for extending reservation to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes in Lok Sabha and state Assemblies by another 10 years.
