The Bharatiya Janata party in Goa on Friday announced to hold its state presidential elections from Saturday. BJP General Secretary, Avinash Rai Khana will be general observer for the elections.
Addressing media persons in Panjim, BJP leader and returning officer Govind Parvatkar said that dates for filing nomination papers will commence from 11th January. He further said that results will be declared on 12th January. He maintained that 52 state council members will elect new state president.
Parvatkar, said that mostly 52 state council members will unanimously appoint the new president.
