GOA AFGHANI STUDENT STABBING ROW: HALF MURDER CASE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO A LOGICAL CONCLUSION WITHIN 2 DAYS, ELSE WILL STAGE PROTEST AT PANJIM POLICE STATION: STUDENTS COUNCIL

The student’s council of the Goa University on Tuesday said that they would stage protest demonstration infront of Panjim police station, in 2 days – if the state government fails to take up the Afghani student stabbing case to logical conclusion.
Addressing media persons at the Goa university complex, the students union and Afgahni student said that they wanted a strict action against the accuse. It said that “a arrest for name sake, would not be accepted by university student …… Police needs to nab all 4 accuses & the case should taken to a logical conclusion”. He council has also urged the vice-chancellor of university to pressurize the police department for seek justice to the student.
Earlier, this morning the police department nabbed 2 more accuses in North Goa. One accuse is absconding. Afghani student victim continues to remain in ICU.
According to the police department, on 20th Jan, late night around 4 non-goans residing in Teligaon stabbed Afghani national student perusing his studies at the Goa university on “Indian Council for Cultural Relations” program.
