GOA GOVT, STATE BJP ABSTAINS UNION MINISTER GOYAL’S “MINI PORTUGAL” REMARKS

The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, on Friday said abstained to support Union Minister Goyal’s “Mini Portugal” Remarks.  Responding to media persons question in Panjim, Goa BJP President Sadanand Tanavde said that Goyal’s “Mini Portugal” Remarks were in context with the infra development in Goa.    He said that, according to Goyal – the infrastructure in Goa should be developed like how it is in Portugal. Tanavde, maintained that the state BJP had conveyed its sentiments in regards with “Mini Portugal” Remarks to Goyal.

Meanwhile, Goa Science & Technology minister Michael Lobo said that  Goa was an natural tourism destination, while could not be replicated by any of tourist destinations worldwide.
