CCP RESOLVES ELIMINATION OF STREET HAWKERS. CCP TO TAKE OVER PATTO PLAZA. MUNICIPALITY TO PROVIDE TRADE LICENCES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS

The Panjim municipal corporation on Monday resolved to remove around 90 street hawkers from its jurisdiction.  The municipality has also decided to take over EDC’S Patto Plaza area under its ambit.  The CCP has also given its consent to regularise around 60 of its workers. It has also decided to provide trade licences in residential dwellings and flats.

Chaos was witnessed at the beginning of General meeting over maintenance of Gardens in the city.  

Addressing media persons in Panjim after holding a general body meeting, Panjim Mayor Uday Madkaikar said that the CCP had decided to remove all kiosks from Panjim as none of those follow proper norms and health guidelines.   Panjim MLA, Babush Monseratte has also supported the CCP’s decision.

  1. Food hygiene is gone to dogs in Goa. Administration is out to make quick money. Robbers, thugs, rapists r ruling the roost.
