GOA GOVT SEEKS PM MODI’S INTERVENTION TO EVACUATE AROUND 8K GOAN SEA FARERS STRANDED ON MARINE VESSELS IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS

The state government has sought Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s intervention to bring back stranded Goan Sea farers on marine vessels in International waters. 

Goa chief Minister, Pramod Sawant told reporters in Panjim on Wednesday that around 7,000 to 8,000  Sea farers are stranded on cruise vessels.  We have sought, PM’s intervention to bring them back to Goa.  All evacuated Sea farers would quarantined and isolated  at the facility setup by Goa government. 

We have sought, PM’s intervention as Ministry of External Affairs has a play a role for evacuation, Goa CM Sawant said.
