The Goa Chief Minister Dr.Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that surgical masks should not be used by general public, as citizens will find it difficult to dispose them off.
There are certain procedures to dispose-off surgical masks, citizens at large will not be able to compile with the procedures for disposal. Citizens should only use masks made of cotton cloth, Goa CM Sawant told media persons via Video conferencing in Panjim.
He further said that, the state government will also direct pharmacy to restrict sell surgical masks for General public.
Earlier, this week the state government has made wearing of face masks mandatory for citizens while commuting.
