The state government has geared up to conduct Class 10 examinations starting from 21st May. 19,680 students across the state will appear for the SSC examinations this year. The exams were postponed due nationwide COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown.
Addressing media persons in Panjim, Secretary of Goa Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bhagirath Shetye said that 365 students will answer their per-vocational optional paper on Thursday. 1,945 will answer trade work subjects on 22nd May, while 19,222 students will start answering papers from 23rd May staring with English Language – 1 subject.
Shetye said that Around 3,000 employees excluding police had been roped to conduct the exams and the Sub-centers were expended in 3 folds to maintain social distancing.
He said that parents would not be allowed within 200 meters schools buffer to avoid congestions. All 29 centers, would be sanitized on day to day basis.
