The Goa Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant on Friday said that the state government had reported 80% drop in revune collections after the pandemic crises. He maintained that the government will do any cost cutting in expenditure for covid-19 management.
Dr. Sawant maintained that, schemes for resolving GST, VAT and allied taxes had been launched in the state. By Wednesday, various recommendations of economic revival committee would be implemented and the state governments expenses would be streamlined, said Dr. Sawant.
He also said that as per union governments guidelines, the state government will allow resumption of restaurants in the state from 8th June, while priests across religious communities would be permitted to conducts nominal rituals in worship places. No gatherings in religious places would be allowed.
