The state government will resume operations of Hotel industry in Goa from 2nd July, Goa Dy. Chief Minister Manohar Azgaonkar told reporters in Panjim on Wednesday. He said that hotels which have sought permissions from the state tourism department will be allowed to resume their operations from Thursday. He said that around 250 hotels in the state had sought permissions to resume operations.
Azgaonkar, said that all tourist, on arrival in the hotels, will have to undergo COVID-19 test. Those found positive, will have an option to return back to their native state or seek medication in Goa.
He said that the government will not permit arbitrary resumption of hospitality industry in the state. The administration will book, hotel operators if they do not seek proper permission from the tourism industry.
