Goa Governor, Satyapal Malik will chair a review meeting with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane in regards with the rising COVID 19 cases in the state later this day. Several top bureaucrats including heath secretary are also expected to attend the meeting.
The Governor’s meet comes at the backdrop of netizens, criticizing government over mis-management in pandemic affairs and acute upsurge of C19 cases in the state. Civil society and social forums have also started denouncing misuse of CRPC and IPC sections invoked to deal with COVID administration.
According to the state government, Goa contains 1128 active case. It has reported 18 deaths.
