GOA GOVT NOTIFIES USE OF 16 FUELS INCLUDING COAL & COKE IN THE STATE. PETCOKE, FURNACE OIL BANNED IN GOA

According to Goa Environment & Climate Change, Director, Johnson Bedy Fernandes, 16 fuels are notified as “Approved Fuels” for Goa.  The notification issued on Thursday claims that Coal with low Sulphur, coke, LDO, Petrol, Diesel, ATF, LPG, CNG, Kerosene, Naphta, Firewood, Bio-gas, Bio fuel, RDF, Charcoal and Hydrogen/ Methane are approved fuels of the state .

The state government further maintained that Petcock, Furnace Oil are banned in the state. All units utilising Pet Coke as fuel & furnace oil as fuel shall discontinue the use of the above fuels on or before 31-12-2020.
