Setting responsibility on tenants associations to maintain Khazan Agricultural fields in the state, the Bombay high court in Goa on Monday directed tenants to approach concerned authorities for proper sanctions and finances.
Pronouncing judgment into Salvador do Mundo, Sluice gate – Khazan land petition, Goa Division bench chaired by Justice M. S. Jawalkar and Justice M.S. Sonak said “It is the responsibility of these Associations to ensure that the Khazan fields are maintained properly. This will include issues like maintenance of sluice gate, breach of bunds and obstruction in the drainage system.
