Speaking to media persons in Panjim on Monday, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that “Almost all COVID 19, medication centers in the state are getting full. Dedicated three COVID wards at GMC Bambolim is are occupied, ESI Hospital in Margao is also getting full. Patients with mild symptoms would be shifted by Ponda hospital”. He maintained, that COVID infected patient who need to undergo surgery will be housed in ward no.132 of Goa medical college & hospital.
Dr. Sawant, further said that doctors attached to directorate of health services would be roped into COVID care medications. He said that Housing keeping and cooking activities of COVID hospitals in the state are outsourced to private entrepreneurs.
Sawant, maintained that several people in Goa, while celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi did not maintained social distancing norms, hence cases in the state were increasing.
