GOA TRIAL COURT DIRECTS THE STATE GOVT TO REGISTER DOHA BORN CHILD’S BIRTH REGISTRATION AFTER 15 YEARS

A trial court in Goa, directed the state Registrar of Births & Deaths and Village Panchayat Corlim to register birth of Goan native child born in 2005 at Maternity Hospital, Doha – Qatar.

Pronouncing orders, on Monday JMFC Panjim Justice Jude Torex Sequeira in its orders said that “the Registrar of Births & Deaths, the Village Panchayat Corlim, Tiswadi Goa, is hereby directed to register the birth of the applicant’s son Maldini Albinus Pereira, to have been born on 01.03.2005 at Maternity Hospital, Doha, upon payment of the prescribed fee”.

The directive from Justice Sequeira, come after the applicant produced the following documents:

* Non-availability Certificate issued by the Village Panchayat of Corlim.

*Birth certificate issued by the Register of Birth of Preventive Health Department Doha-Qatar

*Copy of Birth certificate issued by the Register of Births, Ministry of Public Health Department, Doha.

*School leaving certificate issued by Birla Public School Government of Qatar.
