Ahead of the fast approaching Diwali vacations, the state cabinet chaired by Goa Chief minister Dr. Pramod Sawant gave its consent to resume casino operations from 1st November in Goa with 50 percent capacity.
Addressing media persons in Panjim after chairing the state cabinet, Dr. Sawant said that “They will have to follow all the SOPs as issued to them by the Home Department. They will have to operate with 50 per cent capacity. We need to promote tourism activity,”
Sawant also said that instead of paying annual fees, the casino operators could now pay their license fees on a monthly basis.
