The Bharatiya Janata Party in Goa, on Saturday expressed that it did not mind, if election commission conducts Panchayat and Municipal elections in Goa, on-lines with SOP followed at Bihar legislative assembly polls.
Speaking to media persons, in Panjim Goa BJP president Sadanand Tanavde said that “It is not predictable, when COVID 19 issue would get over”. He said that “looking at the Bihar assembly polls, the cost for conducting polls for election commission has slightly increased for maintaining COVID 19 social distancing norms”.
He maintained that the state BJP had no objections to conduct ZP and municipality Polls in Goa. Tanavde further said that BJP alliance in Bihar assembly polls would win with comfortable majority.
The ZP polls in Goa which were scheduled in March 2020 were postponed by the state election commission, after nationwide Covid 19 lockdown.
