According to orders issued by Assistant commissioner of Excise, Mangaldas Gaonkar “In the interest of ease of doing business and to facilitate industries, all licenses except establishment and occasional licenses may be renewed for a period of upto 5 years”.
Goankar said “To incentivize the license to opt for advance payment of license fees, a rebate of 5% on total license fees shall be given to the license holders if they make an advance payment of license fees for next 3 financial years i.e. 2021-2022 till 2023-2024 on or before 31 March 2021 and a rebate of 10% on total license fees shall be given to the license holders if he makes an advance payment of license fees for the next 5 financial i.e. 2021-2022 to 2025-2026 years on or before 31 March 2021. Any enhancement or decrease in the fees during the period of validity of license shall not be applicable to a license renewed on payment of such advance fees”.
“In view of above, necessary changes have been made in GEMS portal with regards to renewal of licenses for upto 5 years. Hence, all the Excise Officials incharge of manufacturing units and Excise Stations are hereby directed to start accepting the applications for renewal of license in advance for upto 5 years”, he said.
Further, the officials are also directed to maintain records of all such advance renewed licenses separately and submit the report of the same to the Head Office every 15th and 30th or last day of the month till 31″ March 2021.
