GOA HIGH COURT DECLINES TO STAY MUNCIPAL ELECTIONS || VERDICT ON DELIMITATION LIKELY TOWMMROW

The high court in Goa on Monday, has in-principally declined to stay the fast approching March 20 municipal elections. The court however rapped the state government for high handedly carrying out electioneering procedures.

According to the Goa advocate general, Devidas Pangam, the high court will pronounce its orders in petitions challenging delimition of municipal wards likely on Tuesday. Pangam said that the court had started listening grievances of petitioners on Monday and argumants in the matter would continue towmmrow.

Last week several social workers had approached the High court challenging delimition processes of muncipal wards.
