STATE-WIDE CURFEW ENFORCED IN GOA WITHOUT PUBLISHING NOTIFICATIONS ON GAZETTE || GOA HIGH COURT TO HEAR COVID 19 PIL’S TODAY

Even 2 days after the enforcement of the state-wide curfew, the Goa Chief Secretary Parimal Rai headed state administration is yet to publish the notifications on the official gazette. The administration has also not published several allied COVID 19 measures related notifications on the gazette. Official gazette website remains inaccessible to public at large.

The 15 days curfew is enforced by the Home and Revenue departments through the district magistrates CRPC 144 order issued on 8th May. Several Citizens have filed Public Interest Litigations at the Bombay High Court at Goa after the state reported crumbling health care system fuelled with medical oxygen & bed shortage.

According to the government records, Goa has around 2% electoral population amounting to 32262 COVID 19 active positive cases. Goa reported 2804 new case, 50 deaths, 72.06% recovery rate on Monday.
